Regatta

“REGATTA” has been featured in the Naples Daily News and on several art show program covers.  I painted it after a breezy day at Naples Beach.
First I drizzled the sailboat lines with acrylic paint on 300# watercolor paper. After thoroughly drying, I then re-wet both sides of the paper and dropped in vivid liquid watercolors. Then I stamped and collaged in some rice papers for added texture.

Tulip Fest

These bright reds surprise us every spring.  The tulip beds spring to life!  I couldn't resist painting them...I drizzled the tulip design lines with acrylic paint on 300# dry watercolor paper.  Later, I wet the paper on both sides and dropped in my watercolor paint.

Prize Sunflower

Instead of playing golf, I started snapping pictures of the flowers surrounding the course.  These happy sunflowers and a field of poppies caught my eye...and later I painted them.  This watercolor painting also has some collaged papers in it...it won a prize at the Ft. Myers Beach art show!

Rock-Paper-Caps

The rocks of Sedona, AZ, and the copper mines of nearby Jerome brought out the "rock hound" in me!  This collage is made of my heated metallic papers, petrified wood, collage papers & bottlecaps.
